My grandfather, John William Furby joined the Royal Navy at age 16 in November 1897. He was with the Royal Navy for almost 24 years upto June 1921. During this period, the places he travelled to included those as diverse as Canada, the Middle East and China. Following is a chronological list of the Royal Navy ships he served on.
