Census Notes
During the 1841 census, John William's wife Elizabeth was living at Colier Court, off
Shacklewell Street, Bethnal Green with 4 children but John William was not recorded.
During the 1851 census John William was living at 22 Retreat Place, Hackney
with his wife and seven children. His occupation was Plumber Journeyman and he is recorded as from Marylebone. From the childrens entries it can be seen that the family moved from Shoreditch to Bethnal Green between 1836 and 1839 and to Hackney between 1845 and 1848.
Other Events
In the 1870's John William was living at 13 Brooksbys Walk, Homerton. John Williams death certificate is available and it was proved to be correct via the presence of the daughter, Mary Sarah Baker nee Furby. John William died of "disease of the brain and bronchitis".
