The earliest records of Furbys in the North America date back to the 17th century. Caleb Furbee who was born 1752 in Delaware, fought in the revolutionary war. Numerous Furbys can be found as having arrived in the USA from the US Immigration Records. Some US Furby family groups from various sources are as follows.

Descendents of Benjamin Furby born 1633
Benjamin Furby was born in North-West England in 1633. In approximately 1666 he emigrated to North America ahead of his wife and children. He lived in Delaware and Maryland and died in 1668 before his wife and children arrived later that same year. There were five children : Felix, George, Benjamin, Mary and Elizabeth.   In a book found in the Liverpool (England) City Central Library in 1999, Benjamin (and his family) are recorded as arriving at Maryland in 1668 according to entries in "Passenger & Immigration Lists Index, 1st Edition 1982-85 Vol 2, edited by P William Fibby. The reference given (8510 page 173) is "The early settlers of Maryland: An Index of Names of Immigrants" editor Gust Skordas.

Descendents of Benjamin Furby born 1790
Benjamin Furby was born in Delaware around 1790 and in 1820 married in Ohio. He later moved to Illinois. It may be that Benjamin is descended from an Edward Furby who arrived in America about 1644.

Descendents of John Furby born 1813
John and his wife Mary Ann Bowron were born in England as were at least eight of their children. John, who is understood to have been born on 9th February 1813, had been raised in the Church of England faith but had coverted to Quaker after his wife had twins who died without baptism. Their first child, Mary Eliza married in Indiana in 1863 and it seems likely that John and his children moved to America somewhere between 1855 and that year.

Descendents of Ashley Jackson Furby born 1831
Ashley Jackson Furby was born in Indiana in March 1831 and married Isabella Hays at Aldo, Illinois in 1862. It is not known when his ancestors first arrived in America but it seems likely that they were relatives of the John Furby (born 1813 above) who later arrived from England.

Descendents of Arthur L Furby born 1861
My great great grandfather John William Furby, had a niece Helena C Furby born in London, England in 1853 and nephew Arthur L Furby born there in 1861. Both emigrated to Texas around 1891 and have descendents there today.

Descendents of Charles Edwin Furby born 1861
My great grandfather James Joseph Furby, had a nephew Charles Edwin Furby. Charles Edwin, a plumber, was born in London, England in 1861 but emigrated to California in 1888 and has descendents there today including Charles Edwin Furby III.
